About Diamond Lodge

Sarah began her dream of working with horses at a very young age. From the moment she had her first horse ride, she knew she wanted to work with horses. She spent the next few years dedicating her time and effort into learning about horse behavior; training with horses and managing her own business. She was determined to teach others the beautiful art of riding horses. Sarah has got 27 years of experience dealing with horses. She has taught at may Pony Clubs and big Riding Schools. Eventually, after years of experience of working for other people, she opened Diamond Lodge Equestrian in 2007 and has been teaching young children and adults how to ride ever since. In 2017 Sarah became District Commissioner for Rodney.

Services

We offer a range of services to help you achieve your equestrian goals

Group Lessons

$60

  • From 7yrs to adults, Lessons consist of horse management as well as riding. Riders are taught to groom and tack up before riding, Or they may be untacking and grooming after riding!

Private Lessons

From $80

  • Any age, All group work covered but one on one. This is best suited for anyone wanting to advance their riding to a higher and more knowledgeable level. Privates are held during the day and some evenings

  • One on one

  • For all ages

  • No experience - advanced experience

  • Day sessions (some evenings available)

  • Own horse - $80 | Our horse - $100

Pony Club

First year $150, then $100 per year

  • For those wanting to join a pony club who don't have their own horse/pony or graze with us and don't have transport. Able to sit certificates and achievement badges

  • Get your pony club certificates with us

  • Achieve badges

  • Great experience and learning opportunities

  • Suitable for riders under 25

  • Adult horse masterships also available

  • $150 joining fee includes: NZPCA membership, t-shirt, record card

Schooling

From $90

  • Pony / horse schooling

  • 3 - 5 sessions per week

  • Owners to supply feed and hay

  • Show jump or dressage schooling

  • Available for riding at competitions & events
